- Young Toddler Class: 12 - 24 months old
There are numerous changes that children experience as they move into the Young Toddler Room from the infant program. A daily routine now is a consistent framework that provides a balanced variety of learning opportunities that encourages exploration through experiences.
Sign language will be introduced to young toddler throughout the day. We also integrate simple Chinese children’s songs and music movement class to help our toddler learn Mandarin in different forms of communication and interaction.
Toddlers now are able to participate in more weekly enrichment activities including violin and music time.
- Regular Toddler Class: 15 - 33 months old
Your child will now enjoy many opportunities to tap into their curious and creative sides at this age. Every day in the Regular Toddler Room, your child will experience the following:
- Circle and Story Time: reinforcing language and communication development through stories, songs, finger-play songs, numbers, Chinese children poem, and theme activities
- Art: self-expression through structured and free art making
- Sensory: activities to ignite their exploration and discovery through multiple senses
- Outdoor Time: building physical and gross motor skills twice a day
We also focus on toddler’s emotional development, such as understanding feelings; using words to express feelings and needs; and modeling positive behavior. Time for diapering and toilet training is provided throughout the day.
